Civil Engineering Students Undertake Field Work on the Kediri-Tulungagung Toll Road Project
Civil Engineering Department of Janabadra University on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, students of class of 2023, even semester 2024/2025 accompanied by one of the structural lecturers Herlina Susilawati, ST, M.Eng, HMS chair Yandia and Rindi and all HMS members totaling 30 participants together with PT.Garuda Bintang Jaya guided by Mr. Monica and the crew are carrying out Field Work Lectures at the Kediri-Tulungagung Toll Road construction project carried out by PT. Lancarjaya Mandiri Abadi with senior general operational manager Mr. Sunardi, Florencia, etc. with all contractor colleagues and all civil engineering students who cannot be mentioned one by one and M. Tanda Cinta Kurniawan as one of the students of SMP Negeri 5 in Banguntapan as an illustration of motivation towards the world of civil engineering ideals in future development that is more advanced and modern with Janabadra University Yogyakarta. The construction of the Toll Road is a National Strategic Project that aims to improve connectivity and support the economy of East Java, especially access to Dhoho Gudang Garam Airport in Kediri. This project is a Public Private Partnership (PPP) and is expected to be completed in Q3 2025.

Toll Road Section: This toll road will stretch for 44.17 km, including 6.82 km of Dhoho Airport toll access and 37.35 km of Kediri-Tulungagung main road (Section 1 + Section 2).
Initiative: This project is initiated by PT Gudang Garam, as a continuation of the Kertosono-Kediri Toll Road.
Benefits: This toll road is expected to facilitate public mobility, support the development of Dhoho Airport, and improve the economy and tourism in the Kediri area and its surroundings.
Operational Target: Construction of the toll road is targeted to begin in Q2 2024 and be operational in Q3 2025, as reported by the Ministry of PUPR.
Investment: The total investment value is estimated to reach IDR 10.256 trillion for a 50-year concession period, according to Tender-Indonesia.com.
Land Acquisition: The land acquisition process is ongoing, including for additional land acquisition in the second phase, as reported by Radar Kediri.
Impact: The construction of this toll road will improve connectivity, the economy, and tourism in the region.
