Civil Engineering of Janabadra University Yogyakarta with students in the even semester of 2024/2025 accompanied by structural lecturer Herlina Susilawati, ST, M.Eng along with all members of the Civil Student Association chaired by Yandia and Rindi with PT.Garuda Jaya and the team are carrying out Field Work Lectures at the Cipto Utomo Building construction project on the IIK Bhakti Wiyata campus, Kediri, which is carried out by the contractor PT. Sinar Waringin Abadi accompanied by general managers Mr. Harun and Mr. OKI, where the project is a new building construction project that aims to improve the quality of education and facilities at IIK Bhakta. This building will be used to support learning activities, research, and scientific development in the health sector. Construction began with groundbreaking on September 26, 2024, and is planned to reach 14 floors or more.
However, at the time of the field study, the construction of the new building reached 5 floors.
Here are some important points related to the construction of the Cipto Utomo Building:
Concept: This building is designed using a pile foundation with a modern architectural concept to support the academic activities of students and lecturers.
Facilities: The building will be equipped with facilities such as lecturer rooms, rectorate, student canteen, ATM Center, and Bhakta Shop.
Purpose: The construction of this building aims to improve the quality of service and education at IIK Bhakta, as well as to create professional health workers.
Progress: Construction has reached the final stage or finishing on 5 floors.
Upgrading: Along with the construction of the building, upgrading of the Bhakti Wiyata Dental and Oral Hospital (RSGM) was also carried out to improve dental and oral health service facilities.
By implementing Field Lectures on the building construction project, it is hoped that students, especially civil engineering students, can gain knowledge in addition to theory in lectures, also gain knowledge and practice in the field, especially structures and students can develop, analyze, plan, design high-rise building structures that are efficient, strong, sturdy and structured.
Hopefully, civil engineering students will always be successful in the future because development cannot be replaced even in the future.
